Fans travelling by road to Dublin tomorrow for the All-Ireland hurling final between Kilkenny and Cork have been warned by gardaí to allow addtional time for their journeys due to roadworks on approaches to the city.

Extra Bus Éireann and Iarnród Éireann services have beeb put on to bring match-goers to and from the city. Buses depart from Cork bus station, Parnell Place, at 7.30 a.m. and will return from Busaras, Store St, Dublin, at 6.30 p.m. Tickets are €25 and advance booking is essential.

A train offering travel to fans from north Cork, will leave Limerick at 9.40 a.m., getting to Limerick Junction at 10.25 a.m., Thurles at 10.40 a.m., before arriving at Heuston at 12.15 p.m. The return service leaves Heuston at 7.45 p.m.

All regular Cork and Limerick services to Dublin on Sunday morning will require pre-sold tickets, according to Iarnród Éireann
