Farmer killed in bull attack

A 61-year-old farmer was found dead in Co Longford after being attacked by a bull at Ballygarve, Killoe, at around 9.30 p.m

A 61-year-old farmer was found dead in Co Longford after being attacked by a bull at Ballygarve, Killoe, at around 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mr P.J. Trappe, a married man, was discovered by relatives who called to the farm, several miles from his home at Ballymahon.

The body of a man was recovered from the sea off Doolin, Co Clare, yesterday. The discovery was made by staff on an Aran Islands ferry at 3.45 p.m. A post-mortem will be carried out today.

A man was killed when his car collided with a tree yesterday in east Cork. The man has been named as Mr Eugene Clark (42), of Carrigshane, Midleton, a married father of four.
