A court ordered a Tyrone farmer yesterday to pay £859 sterling to restock fish in a stretch of the Drum river. Cookstown Magistrates' Court heard silage and slurry effluent from the farm of Henry Taylor at Tully O'Donnell Road, Dungannon, had wiped out all the fish on a stretch of the river last summer.
Taylor was also fined £500 with costs of £465 for discharging the effluent.
