Superstar DJ Norman Cook, more commonly known as 'Fatboy Slim', is to bring his big beats to Dublin for a concert in August.
The DJ, musician and producer, who is responsible for a number of best-selling dance tracks including
Praise Youand
Rockafella Skank, will be headlining a show at Marlay Park on August 2nd.
Cook, a former member of the Housemartins, will be supported by a number of other acts on the day including UK hip hop and grime musician Dizzee Rascal, French DJ David Guetta and Scottish singer-songwriter and producer Calvin Harris.
Tickets priced €69.50 including booking fee go on sale next Thursday morning.
The August bank holiday is shaping up to be something of a musical weekend with the Castle Palooza festival also taking place.
Details of the festival, which will be on at Charleville Castle, Tullamore, Co Offaly on August 1st and 2nd were announced yesterday. Among the acts scheduled to appear are David Kitt, Channel One, Robotnik, Le Galaxie and the highly praised Dublin band Dark Room Notes.
Tickets are now on sale from €89 and capacity is limited to 2,500 people.
