A removal service for the late Monsignor Denis Faul will take place this evening at the Church of St Columcille in Carrickmore, Co Tyrone, where he was parish priest.
He will be buried tomorrow after a noon Mass in the same church.
Monsignor Faul (74) - who was famed for highlighting human rights abuses in Northern Ireland in the 1970s and 1980s - died yesterday in a Dublin hospital nine months after being diagnosed with cancer.

Monsignor Faul was a teacher and taught for many years at St Patrick's Academy in Dungannon. He was also Catholic chaplain at the Maze prison during the H-Block hunger strikes in 1980 and 1981.
Yesterday political and religious leaders paid tributes to Msgr Faul.
The Taoiseach described him as a determined and courageous man who was devoted to peace and justice and continually spoke out against violence across all communities.
Archbishop Seán Brady, Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, said Msgr Faul had "stood up for what he believed in, stood up for the distraught, no matter what their class, religion or background".
Archbishop Robin Eames said he had always regarded Msgr Faul as a man of integrity and spiritual strength.
