Striker Les Ferdinand has completed his transfer from Tottenham to Premiership strugglers West Ham United.
Ferdinand will go straight into the Hammers squad to face Charlton tomorrow after passing a medical last night and joining the squad for training this morning.
West Ham boss Glenn Roeder has been looking to strengthen his squad during the transfer window and has coveted 36-year-old veteran Ferdinand for some time.
Roeder told the club's official website: "We targeted Les quite a long time ago now, but we had to wait for the window to open, and then for Tottenham to give us permission to talk to him, which has enabled us to bring him to Upton Park at last.
"When I spoke to Les last night he was very enthusiastic about joining us and has got the belief, like the rest of the squad, that we will have climbed out the bottom three come the middle of May, and achieved our goal for this season".
Ferdinand (36) has struggled to find a place in the Tottenham first team this season following Glenn Hoddle's purchase of Robbie Keane from Leeds.
Ferdinand joined Spurs in 1997 from Newcastle United for £6 million and had his most productive spell at White Hart Lane last season with 15 goals from 33 appearances in all competitions.
However, he has made just five starts this season, scoring twice.
Tottenham, meanwhile, were expected to make a move for Bolton's Michael Ricketts after Wanderers agreed to listen to offers for the 24-year-old striker.
