Wayne Rooney will make his Manchester United debut from the start in tonight's Champions League clash with Fenerbahce after manager Alex Ferguson named him in his starting XI for the Old Trafford game .
Ferguson has spent the last 24 hours mulling over whether he should put the talented England teenager in his starting line-up or on the bench.
It means Rooney will start a match for the first time since his £27 million move from Everton last month and since England were knocked out of the European Championships by Portugal in June.
The striker suffered the broken foot which has ruled him out of the first month of the season in that game against Portugal.
