Super Seacat, the high-speed ferry operated by Sea Containers, has been taken out of service because of engine problems.
The ferry, which runs between Dublin port and Liverpool, will be replaced by the company's conventional ferry, King Orry, until Monday.
The Seacat developed mechanical problems yesterday morning during a test run. Ferry services were cancelled and vehicles and passengers were accommodated by Stena Line's High Speed ferry and Irish Ferries.
The company will run two sailings on the King Orry - at 8.15 a.m. from Liverpool arriving in Dublin at 4 p.m. and returning from Dublin at 5 p.m.
