The ongoing feud between crime gangs in Limerick has been linked to the discovery of two nail bombs in Limerick prison today.
An Army bomb disposal team defused the devices after their discovery near a perimeter wall. The remains were take to Garda headquarters for a thorough investigation.
A prison wing and the kitchens were evacuated after the discovery at 10.30 a.m. It is believed they were thrown over the perimeter wall.
