Fianna Fáil TD Mr GV Wright appeared in court today charged with drink driving.
Mr Wright, who was on the court list and charged as Mr Thomas Wright (58), The Moorings, Malahide, was remanded on bail to appear again in four weeks.
He was charged with driving with excess alcohol at North Strand Road, Dublin, on September 18th.
Garda Fergal Flynn, Fitzgibbon Street, told Dublin District Court that there would be further charges and the State was applying for a remand.

Mr Wright did not speak during the brief appearance and was represented by a barrister and a solicitor. Judge James Scally remanded him to appear again in Court 45 on November 7th.
