Three children remain in intensive care after a fire in their home in Dundalk on Wednesday morning. Three other children are out of intensive care and are said to be making progress. The children, aged from 13 months to 14 years, are in Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin and Temple Street Hospital. Their mother, Ms Alice O'Rourke, is said to be stable in the Louth County Hospital, Dundalk. i and the fire brigade in Dundalk are continuing their investigations into the cause of the blaze.
