A handgun and a quantity of ammunition has been recovered as part of the investigation into the fatal shooting of Aidan O'Kane in Dublin last weekend.
Gardaí carried out a number of searches in the north inner city, recovering the gun, ammunition and a quantity of drugs. The gun will be subject to forensic and ballistic tests.
Meanwhile, one person remains in custody this evening being questioned in connection with the shooting.
The 50-year-old father of one was shot as he chased a group of teenagers down a laneway on Sunday just after 7pm near his home on Shelmalier Road, East Wall.
A total of nine people aged between 13 and 30 have been arrested to date and held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
A 32-year-old woman was released without charge earlier this evening.
The killing was the 20th gun murder this year.
