First funeral of Dublin bus crash victims

The funeral has taken place of 43-year-old Mr Kevin Garry, one of the victims of Saturday's bus crash in Dublin.

Mass was held in his home town of Leixlip, Co Kildare, this morning and he was buried at Confey cemetery.

Mr Garry died along with four others while boarding a bus on Wellington Quay on Saturday afternoon. He was returning home after finishing work at the Salvation Army's Cedar House hostel off O'Connell Street.

Around 1,000 people last night attended a funeral service after he was received at St Charles Borromeo Church.

He is survived by his mother, three sisters and a brother.

Over 1,000 people attended a funeral service last night in Lucan, Co Dublin, for Mr Vasyl Tyminskyy (33).

He had been living in Ireland for three years with his wife Svitlana and their 11-year-old daughter Khrystyna having moved here from the Ukraine. His remains have been returned to his country of birth where and will be buried later this week.

The body of Ms Margaret Traynor (59) will arrive at the Church of Our Lady Immaculate in Darndale for a service at 6 p.m. tonight. She will be buried at Glasnevin Cemetery at noon tomorrow.

Ms Teresa Keatley, a 43-year-old mother-of-three from Ballymun will also be buried tomorrow at Glasnevin after removal to Our Lady of Victories in Ballymun at 5.45 p.m. tonight.

Mrs Kathleen Gilton (69) from Maynooth will be buried on Saturday.
