At least five people were killed today when a rescue helicopter evacuating three tourists injured in a bus accident in the Canary Islands crashed, Spanish state radio said.
A bus carrying around 50 tourists crashed earlier, injuring about 15 people, the radio reported. A helicopter was sent to evacuate three of the injured, but hit a power cable when taking off and crashed, killing two crew members and the three tourists, it said.
Spanish agency Europa Press said the tourists were Dutch.
