Four men and a woman have been arrested and are being questioned at garda stations in Dublin in connection with the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man on the north side of the city last night.
The victim was shot at around 11.45pm last night in Clontarf in the north of the city in what is believed to be the latest twist in a feud in the area.
Gardai were questioning the five people under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act at Clontarf, Raheny and Howth garda stations about the incident which occurred at Windsor Ville Apartments on the Charlemont Road.
The scene of the shooting remains sealed off and the Deputy State Pathologist, Dr Michael Curtis carrying out a preliminary examination.
Gardai have issued an appeal for members of the public who may be able to assist the investigation to contact them.
