Two boys are in a serious but stable condition at Dublin's Temple St Children's hospital following a fire at their home in Darndale early this morning.
The two boys were rushed with their sister to the hospital shortly after emergency services attended the fire at around 3.20 a.m. Three fire engines, two ambulances and a fire officer attended the scene. No cause for the fire has been established yet.
Both boys are suffering from burns and smoke inhalation and are being treated in the hospital's High Dependency Unit. Their sister is less seriously injured and is recovering from smoke inhalation.
The children's parents have been taken to the Mater Hospital where their condition has been described as stable.
