London - Millions of cans of fizzy drinks and bottles of sparkling water were withdrawn from sale in Britain yesterday after traces of benzene were found in supplies of carbon dioxide used to make them fizz.The soft drink and chocolate maker Cadbury Schweppes Plc said it had withdrawn its bottled Malvern sparkling water, after finding traces of benzene, a cancer-causing poison. Batches of well-known brands of soft drinks were also seen being taken off shelves.
