Former Esat Digifone chief executive Mr Barry Maloney has joined technology venture capital firm, Benchmark Capital as a general partner in the London office.
Benchmark Capital manages Benchmark Capital Europe Ia $750m fund targeted to Europe which started investing in June 2000.
Mr Maloney, who recently stepped down from his post at Esat Digifone said he is "delighted" to be joining Benchmark.
"I look forward to working closely with my Benchmark partners and many high calibre entrepreneurs to build some great companies in the coming years.
