GARDAI investigating the death of the 19 year old woman whose body was found in the playground of a north Dublin school yesterday have ruled out foul play.

Post mortem results released last night showed Ms Tracey Elliott died from injuries following a fall from a 30 foot roof at Our Lady of Consolation School, Collins Avenue East, Donnycarney.

It is understood she confided in close friends recently she was depressed following the break up of a relationship with a young man a few months ago.

The body of Ms Elliott, who was unemployed and from Killester Park, Killester, was discovered by a local woman in the high walled back yard of the school shortly before 9.30 a.m.

She had severe head injuries and was lying on her back about 15 feet away from the school building. She was wearing a navy blue track suit top with light blue and white stripes on the chest and cuff, navy track suit bottoms and brown shoes without socks.

Ms Rose Reynolds, from nearby Clanranald Road, came across the body while she was walking her dog.

Ms Reynolds flagged down a passing motorist and woke up a neighbour, Ms Ellen Prizeman, from Collins Avenue East, who called the gardai.

Father John Kelly, from the nearby Our Lady of Consolation Church, administered the Last Rites to the woman. Her father, Mr David Elliott, identified the body at the scene three hours later.

Mr Elliott said his daughter had stayed on Sunday night at the home of a friend a few hundred yards from the school. He understood that she had got up early and left the house at 6 a.m.

Mr Elliott, who has three other children, said that he was mystified by his daughter's death. He described her as a "jolly" and good humoured person. She had spent Saturday in town buying an outfit for the wedding of her uncle, which she had said she was looking forward to.

A Garda spokesman said last night that they were "satisfied" there was no foul play. "There appears to have been no outside involvement," he said.

Garda inquiries into the circumstances of the woman's death are continuing.
