Four Dublin men appeared in court yesterday charged in connection with the theft of over ú378,000 worth of Windows '95 computer software from Meadows Freight in Clonee, Co Meath.

Det Garda Ian Ferris told Dublin District Court that ú123,000 worth of computer software had been recovered after it was shipped to London but over ú255,000 was still missing.

Mr Colin Kilgannon (49), from Monlea Road, Blackrock, Co Dublin, an importer and exporter of computer equipment, is accused of receiving the software between November 1996 and January 1997.

Mr Derek Bailey (36), of Casino Park, Marion; Mr Darren Kavanagh (24), of Holywell Crescent, Donaghmede, a former lorry driver and Meadows Freight employee, Mr Michael Moore (24), of Whitestown Park, Blakestown are charged with larceny.
