Four people have died in road accidents over the weekend in counties Mayo, Monaghan, Derry and Down.
A 67-year-old woman was killed on Saturday afternoon when the car in which she was travelling was in a collision near Erriff Bridge in Co Mayo.
She was named yesterday as Treasa Bagnal of Golf Course Road, Westport, Co Mayo.
The accident happened at 3.45pm in Shralee, Liscarney, on the main Westport to Leenane road. The car in which Ms Bagnal was a back-seat passenger was in collision with another car.
The driver of the car, two other passengers, and the driver of the other car were taken to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar, but were believed not to be seriously injured.
In Co Monaghan, a 19-year-old man was killed when the van he was driving went out of control and hit a ditch at about 3.55am on Saturday.
The accident happened at Broomfield, Castleblayney.
A passenger, an 18-year-old man, was seriously injured and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
In the North, a teenager died yesterday after he was struck by two cars near Derry airport.
The accident happened before 2am on the Clooney Road, Greysteel.
Police investigating the accident said that Jason Gallagher from St Canice's Park, Eglinton was struck twice by two cars travelling in the opposite direction as he walked along the main carriageway close to City of Derry airport.
Meanwhile, a 38-year-old man died after the car he was driving went out of control on a Co Down road. Colin Niblock was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on the Shore Road, Kircubbin, around 7am yesterday.
Mr Niblock, of Cairndore Road, Newtownards, was travelling alone and no other vehicles were involved.
