Four people were arrested this afternoon in connection with the ongoing investigation into the fatal shooting of Jonathan O Reilly in West Dublin last month.
The four, two men and two women were detained at Garda Stations in West Dublin under the provisions of Section. 30 of the Offences against the State Act following a number of searches in the area earlier today.
O'Reilly was shot dead as he sat in a car outside Cloverhill Prison, Clondalkin, at around 3 p.m. on April 17th.
The murdered man, who had a five-year-old son, was from St Mark's Gardens, Clondalkin.
He was part of a well-known west Dublin gang who have been heavily involved in drug dealing since the mid-1990s.
During today's searches a number of firearms and a quantity of drugs were also discovered.
