Four people were injured at the weekend after an armed man walked into a pub in Leeds, north England, and started shooting indiscriminately, police said today.
"The information was that a man entered the pub armed with a handgun and started shooting at random," a police spokesman told reporters.
The injured were taken to hospital, where they were awaiting surgery. None of their injuries were thought to be life-threatening.
Police hunting the gunman said he had fled in a waiting car after the incident. Officers gave no motive for the attack, which occurred at 10.30 p.m. yesterday.
