A woman has died in hospital after she was hit by a truck on the North Circular Road in Dublin - the fourth person killed on the roads today.
The 63-year-old pedestrian was hit by a rigid truck at 1pm at the junction of Phibsborough Road at Doyle's Corner.
The injured woman was taken by ambulance to the Mater hospital where she later died from her injuries, a Garda statement said.
Gardaí at Mountjoy station are seeking witnesses.
A man also died after a collision involving two vans in Co Antrim. The incident happened near Loughguile at the Ballyveely Road junction with Pharis Road at approximately 11.20 this morning. Two other people were killed in separate crashes this morning in Cos Kerry and Wexford.
A man (28) died when his motorbike collided with a car at Ballyknock, Ballymitty, Wellington Bridge, Co Wexford, at about 8.15am.
The man, who has not been named, died at the scene and his body was taken to Wexford General Hospital.
Elsewhere, a man was killed in a two-car crash at Ardtully on the main Kigarvan-to-Kenmare Road in Co Kerry.
Gardaí have named him as James Nelson (65) from Kilmacalogue, Lauragh, Killarney. He was the driver on one of the two cars involved in the crash.
A man (19) who was involved in a two-car crash at Dunleer, Co Louth, on Tuesday evening died in hospital yesterday. He was named as Mark King from Ballygowan, Ardee, Co Louth.
