Four people have died following separate road collisions throughout the island over the weekend.
Shortly before 8am this morning a 29-year-old man died when the van he was driving crashed at Whiterath, Drumiskin, Co Louth.
He was pronounced dead at Louth County Hospital. The man was alone in the van at the time of the crash and there was no other vehicle involved.
In Northern Ireland a man was killed and another seriously injured when a red Ford escort car left the Tromra Road, Cushendall, Co Antrim at around 6am.
Then at 10.20am, a 22-year-old man died when the Nissan 4X4 vehicle he was driving left the Glassdrumman Road in Crossmaglen, Co Armagh.
The names of the two victims have not yet been released by the police.
Yesterday evening a 23-year-old woman died when her car collided with another vehicle at Cornamucklagh, Omeath, Co Louth.
Gardaí later named her as Aine Clarke, from Ferryhill Road, Newry, Co Down.
Two people in the second car were taken by ambulance to Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry.
Their injuries are not life-threatening.
