THE Independent Radio and Television Commission has shortlisted four applicants for the independent radio licence for Limerick.
One applicant not shortlisted is Radio Limerick 95 which lost the licence after the IRTC decided it was in breach of its contract with the regulatory body.
Nine consortia applied for the licence. The four shortlisted are: Treaty Broadcasting Ltd, Mount Kennet House, Henry Street, Limerick; Limerick Radio & Media Ltd, George's Quay, Limerick; Thomond Radio Group, Lane, Daly and Partners, O'Connell Street, Limerick; and Limerick 2000 Broadcasting Group, Mount Kennet House, Henry Street, Limerick.
