Dublin - The three Libyan nationals and one Algerian arrested earlier this week in connection with investigations into the al-Qaeda terrorist network were released without charge yesterday.

A Garda spokesman said last night no files were being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The men were arrested on Tuesday morning in raids on houses in south Dublin. They were held for 72 hours. One of the men is a naturalised Irish citizen who has lived in the State for 20 years.
