Four men arrested after Special Branch detectives raided a Co Meath hotel were further remanded in custody for a fortnight at a special sitting of the Special Criminal Court in Dublin yesterday.

The men arrested on July 29th are Mr Liam Campbell (32), of Upper Faughart, Dundalk, Co Louth, Mr Declan Carroll (24), of Edenmore Crescent, Raheny, Dublin, Mr Sean Mulligan (50) of Carnalughoge, Louth village, Co Louth and Mr Robert Brennan (32), of Sillogue Road, Dublin.

All four are charged with membership of the "Real IRA".

Mr Campbell and Mr Carroll are to stand trial later this year on earlier charges of being members of an illegal organisation last year.
