Gardaí investigating the murder of a suspected drug dealer in Co Cork earlier this year have arrested a fourth man for questioning about the shooting.
Detectives arrested the man in his 30s in the Douglas area of Cork around 3pm and brought him to the Bridewell Garda Station for questioning about the shooting of Darren Falsey.
A father of two, Mr Falsey was shot dead when he went to answer a call at the front door of his rented house at Ashbourne Court on Ferney Road in Carrigaline on August 3rd last.
Gardai released without charge a 22-year-old man arrested as part of the same investigation while they were last night continuing to question two other men arrested on Monday about the killing.
The man was arrested on Tuesday morning in Carrigaline, Co Cork under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act and brought to the Bridewell Garda station for questioning about Mr Falsey’s murder. Gardaí said this morning they are to prepare a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí are continuing to question a 29-year-old man and a 20-year-old man who were arrested at separate addresses in Carrigaline on Monday morning under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Both men are still being questioned after gardaí successfully applied at a special sitting of Cork District Court on Tuesday night to have their detentions extended.
