French authorities released a Spanish woman arrested this week on suspicion of being a member of Basque separatist group ETA and placed her under judicial supervision, officials said today.
French police arrested 35-year-old Ainhoa Adin Jauregui in Hendaye, close to the Spanish border on Tuesday.
She is believed to be responsible for attacks in the 1990s in which three people were killed.
Her arrest came shortly after the Spanish government moved to ban two Basque political parties alleged to have links to the armed separatists, who have waged a decades-long campaign of violence to win independence for the Basque country.
