About 80 per cent of flights to and from France will be grounded today by a one-day air traffic control strike.
Aer Lingus will run a limited schedule on its French routes today. The Aer Lingus flights flying are EI 524 from Dublin to Paris departing at 11:45 a.m., EI 525 Paris to Dublin departing at 3.15 p.m., EI 546 Dublin to Nice departing at 4.25 p.m. and EI 547 Nice to Dublin departing at 6.40 - all flight times are local.
The traffic control strike compounds a fresh wave of protests by state-employed teachers over pension reform.
Hundreds of thousands of people, mainly teachers and other public sector employees, marched through cities across France on Sunday in a show of force against government plans to make people work longer for the right to retire on a full pension.
In a separate development, 30 per cent of the capital's rubbish collectors staged a pay strike yesterday and decided to continue it today. Municipal officials said the first day of the protest had only a limited impact.
