Ankara - Two tremors, one measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale, yesterday shook the northwestern Turkish province of Bolu, 12 days after the region was hit by a massive earthquake, the Anatolia agency said.
Five buildings seriously damaged in the earlier quake collapsed as the fresh tremors sent panicked residents pouring into the streets, but there were no casualties.
The total death toll in the August 17th quake stands at 13,895 dead and 27,233 injured, the government crisis centre said yesterday.
