An appeal has been set up to help fund the repatriation of a young Brazilian who was stabbed to death in Roscommon last week.
Kezia Gomes Rosa (31), had been living in the town for 18 months prior to her death.
Ms Rosa is survived by a six-year-old daughter who lives in Brazil.
Amilton Leonel De Olivera (36), with an address at Lanesborough Street, Roscommon, has been charged with the unlawful killing of Ms Rosa and is due to appear before Harristown Court at Castlerea on Friday.
Ms Rosa was described locally as a popular young woman and her death in such circumstances came as a great shock to her friends and neighbours in the Brazilian and native Irish communities in Roscommon town.
Roscommon has a substantial Brazilian community, with many workers from that country employed in the Kepak factory in Athleague, four miles from Roscommon town.
The Kezia Gomes Rosa Fund is at AIB Roscommon, account no 09081060, sort code 93 7142.
