There's a whole range of events in aid of the tsnami appeal this weekend, get along to them if you can.
• The GAA will ask patrons at matches in Munster, Leinster and Connaught to make a donation to GOAL at the gate instead of paying the standard entry fee
• Trócaire will hold its national church collection this weekend. All proceeds will go to the tsunami appeal fund
• Tesco will host collections outside its 85 stores nationwide, supported by members of local Irish Red Cross
• Fifty drummers will play a free gig at the Bank of Ireland on Dublin's College Green between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. today. Clowns, face-painters, stilt-walkers and fire-breathers will also be in the area
• McKane's Pharmacy in Ballina will donate all money that passes through the tills of the shop this weekend to GOAL
• A benefit concert for the Irish Red Cross takes place in the RDS tonight between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. David Kitt, Shane McGowan, Ronnie Drew, Kíla, Dave McSavage, Hothouse Flowers and many more. Tickets cost €35 and are available through Ticketmaster and on the door
• The Hope Foundation is organising a fundraising walk from Cork's City Hall to Anglesey Street at 2.30 p.m. on Sunday for India's tsunami victims
