Badajoz - The Spanish Prime Minister, Mr Jose Maria Aznar, and Crown Prince Felipe joined thousands of mourners at a funeral Mass yesterday for victims of floods which devastated parts of the Iberian peninsula.
In the south-western city of Badajoz, hardest hit by storms that killed 31 people in Spain and Portugal on Wednesday night, rescue workers aided by body-sniffing dogs searched rivers for four people still reported missing.
In Portugal, more flooding was reported along the rainswollen Tagus. Several remote villages could only be reached by boat, but most residents had evacuated overnight due to rising waters.
