A removal service for actor Moira Hoey, who died on Monday, will take place in Co Wicklow this evening.
Hoey, who was 88, starred in the long-running RTÉ drama The Riordans from 1965 to 1979.
The removal takes place from Patrick O’Donovan and Son funeral home in Greystones to the Church of the Holy Rosary in Greystones for 7pm.
The funeral will take place tomorrow, after 10am requiem Mass, at Redford Cemetery.
Hoey (née Deady) was predeceased by her husband Johnny. She is survived by her son Kevin, daughters Mary, Bernie and Brenda and grandchildren.
Her film credits included Angela's Ashes, in which she played moneylender Mrs Purcell.
Actor Tom Hickey, who played her son Benjy in The Riordans, said Hoey was "simply a joy to work with".
“We had many, many laughs working together. She had the most infectious and vibrant sense of humour. She was a wonderful woman.”
