A Northern Ireland-born teenager stabbed to death in a brawl in the Greek tourist resort of Faliraki is to be buried in Leicestershire, it was confirmed yesterday.
Mr Paddy Doran (17), who died after he was struck with a broken bottle in a bar-room scuffle, will be laid to rest in Market Harborough.
The teenager had become involved in a fight at the Q Bar, in the resort on the island of Rhodes on August 12th.
Funeral directors said today they have been instructed to make arrangements for his burial and are in contact with the man's family, who are in Ireland.
A spokeswoman for the funeral directors, Jack Warwick of Kettering, said: "I can confirmed that we are handling the arrangements for the family, but we do not yet have a fixed date yet until they return from Ireland.
"We are also having to await the outcome of the post-mortem."
She said a service for Mr Doran will be held at the Evangelical Church, in Bath Street, Market Harborough, and that he will be buried at Towcester Road Cemetery, in Northampton.
Mr Doran's father is from Peterborough, but the teenager had lived at a caravan site near Market Harborough with his mother and grandmother.
His body was flown back from Faliraki to East Midlands Airport on Wednesday night, where 70 relatives and friends gathered .
A Home Office pathologist has carried out a post-mortem examination at Leicester Royal Infirmary, but no inquest into the man's death has yet been opened.
Mr Peter Navarro, (21) of Leasowe, Wirral, has appeared before a court in Greece accused of manslaughter.
