Funeral arrangements have been made for several of the victims of the bus accident that claimed the lives of five people in Dublin at the weekend.

Those who died were: Mr Kevin Garry (43), from Leixlip, Co Kildare; Ms Kathleen Gilton (69), from Maynooth, Co Kildare; Ms Teresa Keatley (43), Ballymun, Dublin; Ms Margaret Traynor (59), Darndale, Dublin and Mr Vasul Tyminskyy (33), a Ukranian national who had been living in Lucan, Co Dublin.

Mr Garry, who had been returning from work at a Salvation Army hostel in Dublin city when he was among those struck by the Dublin Bus on Saturday afternoon, lived alone.

The removal of his remains will take place from his home to St Charles Borromeo church in Leixlip tomorrow night.  He will be buried at Confey cemetery following 11 a.m. mass on Thursday.

Mr Garry is survived by three sisters, Mary, Josephine and Olive and a brother, Enda.

Mr Tyminskyy's removal service will take place at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St Mary's church in Lucan. His remains will then be flown back to Ukraine for burial.

Mr Tyminskyy had been working as a plasterer with a construction company in Dublin.  He and his wife, Svitlana Tyminskyy, had been saving money to buy a house in Ukraine and was due to return there next month to look at a site. Mr Tymynskyy is also survived by his 11-year-old daughter, Khrystyna.

The funeral arrangements for the other people killed in Saturday's accident are being finalised.

Ms Margaret Traynor is survived by her daughters Noelle, Caroline and Margaret, who was with her at the time of the crash.  Her son Eamon had been in Australia but has now returned home for her funeral.

Meanwhile, the Garda has declined to say whether the drivers of the two buses involved in Saturday's accident have been interviewed.

An investigation into the crash is under way, headed by Det Supt PJ Browne of Pearse Street Garda Station.

A Garda spokesman said: "The investigation is ongoing.  A number of people have been interviewed and a number of people have yet to be interviewed."  He said that because of the sensitive nature of the investigation, he could not say which interviews had already taken place.

Dublin Bus is carrying out its own investigation and has said it will publish its findings.
