A man charged in connection with an attempted robbery at a computer plant in Dublin in May faced further charges at the Special Criminal Court yesterday.

Mr Donal Fennelly (28), of Ballybough House, was charged with falsely imprisoning Mr Gerald McGill at Wolfe Tone Quay on May 17th last and with unlawfully seizing control of Mr McGill's vehicle on the same date.

He was also charged with falsely imprisoning Mr Eamon Boland and Mr Tom Hoare at the Gateway 2000 computer factory in the Clonshaugh Industrial Estate, Coolock, on May 18th.

Another count accused him of assaulting Mr Boland with intent to rob him on the same date.

Mr Fennelly was further charged with the unlawful possession of a stun gun and an airgun at Ballybough House on May 18th.

There was no objection from the prosecution to continuing bail at £10,000. The court heard the book of evidence was almost complete.

October 22nd was fixed as the date for it to be served. Mr Fennelly's trial was fixed for April 20th, 1999.
