An early-morning attack was carried out yesterday on Roundstone Garda station in Connemara, Co Galway. The attackers struck after 3 a.m. and many of the station's windows were smashed by stones.
Windows in a nearby house were also broken, but both the barracks and the adjoining house were unoccupied at the time. The garda in Roundstone lives in a different part of the village and was off duty at the time.
