Five units of Galway fire brigade took several hours to bring a fire at a commercial estate off the Tuam Road in Galway city last night under control.
The fire started shortly before 7pm at the Riverside Commercial Estate.
A number of buildings have been destroyed and others badly damaged. There are no reports of any injuries.
As yet the cause of the fire is unknown. Gardaí are trying to establish which premises the fire started in.
