A man has suffered head injuries and bruising after he was beaten by a mob in a south Belfast bar, police said today.
The victim, in his thirties, was attacked by a number of men at around 9.30 p.m. last night in a pub in King Street. The assault also took place outside the bar.
The man's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Witnesses to the incident were urged today by police to come forward and help their investigation.
In Lisburn, Co Antrim, a man in his thirties was punched in the face and had some type of material placed over his head during a robbery.
He was walking in the Hillhall Park area at around 11.25 p.m. when he was approached by three men who assaulted him. The attackers made off with money and personal documents, including his passport.
Detectives have appealed for information.
