A man and a teenage boy and girl were injured in a gang attack on the outskirts of Belfast last night.
Police said they were investigating a sectarian motive for the attack carried out by 15 masked people armed with baseball bats, golf clubs and a hand gun.
The gang targeted a man (26), girl (17) and boy (14) in the car park of a vacant supermarket at Queensway in Dunmurry.
During the attack all three were made to lie on the ground and were beaten by the gang, which claimed to represent the loyalist Ulster Defence Association, said police. The girl also had a gun put to her head.
Both teenagers were later treated in hospital for numerous cuts and bruises.
The man was kept in hospital suffering from a broken ankle and cuts and bruises to his head and body.
