Gardaí are searching for a gang of four men who broke into a house in Tallaght last night and robbed a couple at gunpoint.
At least one of the four masked men who forced their way into the house at Bancroft Road at about 10.20 p.m. was armed with a handgun.
The husband and wife were tied up and a quantity of cash was stolen.
The couple managed to untie themselves and raise the alarm. They were unhurt and were able to give detailed descriptions of their assailants to gardaí.
