Sergio Garcia is holding a one-stroke lead over Greg Norman and is threatening to upstage the Great White Shark after 36 holes of the Australian’s Greg Norman International event at The Lakes course in Sydney.
The 21-year-old Spaniard fired five birdies in his four-under 69 today to lie at 13-under 133, one shot ahead of Norman who stormed into contention with four birdies in his homeward nine holes in a five-under 68 for 134.
Garcia will be chasing only his third tournament success, while Norman, 46 on Saturday, is looking for his 87th title in a 25-year career.
Spicing up the title joust is Australia's hottest young golfer, Aaron Baddeley, who is lurking just two shots off the pace in third place on 11-under 135 after a 68.
