Gardaí are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a new-born baby boy found abandoned in Dublin yesterday afternoon.
The baby was discovered by passers-by in a shopping bag and wrapped in tin foil and a towel at a bus stop on Clanbrassil Street. He was brought to the Coombe Hospital and is said to be in good health.
Gardaí said the mother had taken care to ensure the baby did not suffer from the cold weather, and appealed for her to contact them as there may be concerns for her health.
