A Garda is recovering in hospital today after receiving serious leg injuries in an incident involving a stolen car in Limerick last night.
The incident happened at around 3.30 a.m. when a stolen vehicle is said to have rammed a taxi on the Ballysimon Road.
The taxi is then believed to have gone out of control and struck the garda. The garda was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital and is said to be stable. The occupant of the taxi and the two occupants of the stolen car were also injured in the incident.
