Gardai are keeping an open mind on the shooting of a man in Limerick on Monday evening

Gardai are keeping an open mind on the shooting of a man in Limerick on Monday evening. Mr James Mulqueen (20), single, of Astor Court, Keyes Park, is comfortable in Limerick Regional Hospital after he received a shotgun wound in the right leg. The incident happened after 6 p.m. in a house in O'Malley Park, Southill.

It was the second shooting in Southill in the past few weeks. Another man was shot in the lower back while on horseback. He is believed to have since moved to England. Gardai at Roxboro (061 419555) have appealed for witnesses in the latest incident.
