Gardai in Navan are investigating the theft of a large amount of jewellery from a shop in the town. A Garda spokesman said those responsible had been selective and precise and had a good knowledge of the premises.
The theft took place sometime on Wednesday night and gardai believe the culprits may not be from the locality but had good information.
A Garda spokesman said the value of the goods taken could be over £50,000. Full details of what has been taken are not yet available.
