The Garda were today searching for a Congolese national who failed to turn up to a sitting of the High Court yesterday to mount a final challenge against his deportation.
Toussaint Mbiyavanga had been released from custody by the State following a late-night sitting of the court on Wednesday in which he sought to restrain his deportation on a flight from Dublin airport at 1:30pm yesterday.
The court heard following Mr Mbiyavanga’s release the Garda National Immigration Bureau expected him to present himself in accordance with statutory notice to facilitate his deportation.
Tom Pearse told Judge Peter Charleton his client had not turned up for the hearing and he had no further instructions.
